About the artwork

Title: Sier and Oerd (Veerdienst Ameland) The Oerd, together with its sister ship Sier, maintains the ferry service between Holwerd and Ameland. I try to give mind-storms a place in the form of (art) work. We have to learn to look with the eyes of a child again. (Art) work on the subject of landscape, the world, the Netherlands. Digital art. Expressionism. Abstracted, inspired by pointillism. This technique involves applying dots of paint that, up close, appear to be nothing but, at a distance, mix colours and form patterns. This artwork uses stripes and smudges of thickly applied paint on a surface with relief. A landscape has been created with coarse brushstrokes of paint. Two ferries are making their crossing over the Wadden Sea to the island of Ameland. Shades of grey have been used. Abstracted artworks fit any wall. The relief adds an extra dimension.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
