This is a ceremonial cloth of raffia with an embroidered geometric pattern. It is made by the Shoowa tribe of Congo-Kinshasa who belong to the larger ethnic group Kuba. It is an ancient technique and tradition that looks very modern because of the tight geometric patterns. It is a beautiful authentic object that works very well in a modern and sleek interior.
