Ships underway in the early morning at Wijk aan Zee.
The sun rises and the mists of the morning lift. Ships on their way to the lock of IJmuiden pass the north pier of Wijk aan Zee.
The beach is deserted the seagulls are still paddling. The harbor wakes up and the ships have to enter the lock under the guidance of the pilot and the tugboats. The first rays of sunlight bathe the harbor landscape together.
Raw and the harbor as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
