About ‘Ship in the New Waterway by Hoek van Holland’ by Lida Bruinen

Hoek van Holland is bordering the North Sea and the New Waterway. The New Waterway is the last piece of the connection of Rotterdam with the sea, and in 1872 came about. The length of this digging through the sand dunes at what is now called the Hoek van Holland, but at that time belonged to the municipality 's-Gravenzande, was 4.3 km.
