Tips for use
  • Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
  • Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
  • Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
  • The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
  • Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Sheep On Dike’ by Erik-Jan ten Brinke

Digital low polygon painting based on a photograph i took near Groningen (Netherlands). The polygons (triangles) are hand drawn and coloured digitally onto the photograph. Textures are added layering photographs of paint and other rough surfaces over the image.

Multimedia designer. With inspiration form working in the game industry, my latest work is making low polygon renditions of photographs. This reduces an image to nothing but simple triangle shapes. By adding gritty textures, the final result has both a digital as a painted look. Apart from the free work you see here, I also make portraits in the same style.
