For this shot, I got up early, when the city was still quiet. The soft morning sun fell just right on Seville Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic and Moorish architecture. With no tourists in the square, I was able to capture the serenity and grandeur of this impressive structure in its purest form.
The colours in this photo are warm and soft: sand-coloured stone with golden accents, framed by fresh green trees and palms under a pale blue sky. The tower you see is La Giralda, the former minaret section of the mosque that once stood on this spot, and now forms the cathedral's bell tower.
This work looks great in spaces where atmosphere and tranquillity are important: a living room, hallway, study or bedroom. Even in a stylish covered outdoor space, this print can add a Mediterranean touch.
Thanks to its warm tones and rich details, this picture fits well in classic, bohemian, Mediterranean and rural interiors. It also contrasts well with tighter lines in modern spaces.
