Al sinds mijn tienertijd is fotografie mijn passie. Ik heb zelfs nog een tijd een donkere kamer gehad. De laatste jaren fotografeer ik met name landschappen in de omgeving van mijn woonplaats Alkmaar. Daar vind je aan de oostkant het beroemde polderlandschap en aan de westkant de breedste duinen van ons land en natuurlijk de Noordzee. Kortom, een prachtige streek voor schitterende foto's van landschappen.
