About ‘Senna and the Gentleman driver vintage formula one racers’ by Jos van de Venne

These retro formula one racers revive formula one from days gone by. Originally, these are two papier-mâché figures placed on a piston. The unique handmade papier-mâché figures are constructed with paper and a wire frame. They are finished with an acrylic coating and varnish.

My name is Jos van de Venne. I completed a university engineering degree. Within engineering, I have always had a fascination for industrial design. From this fascination came an interest in painting. At the free academy in Delft, the foundations were laid for a broader interest in painting. This 3-year period continued at ChocArt in Sittard.
