About ‘Sea trowing dead shells back on the Beach’ by Eddy Smets

The picture shows a vast beach covered with thousands of razor clams washed up by the sea. The shells lie in large quantities along the shoreline, like a natural carpet of shiny, sophisticated shapes. The sea, rippling calmly against the sand in the background, has spread its treasures along the shore, a snapshot of the dynamic between water and land.

The razor clams are carefully patterned, some still intact, others broken or half-buried in the sand. The slight sheen of the shells reflects the sunlight, creating a gentle spectacle between the grey tones of the sand and the blue hues of the horizon. The beaches seem temporarily transformed by this unexpected phenomenon, as a silent witness to the power of the sea.

The scene evokes a sense of transience: the mussels, once part of life underwater, now lie displayed on dry land, devoid of their original function. It is a moment of peace and quiet, where nature follows its own rhythm, a rhythm sometimes unexpectedly shared with the world on the beach.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
