About ‘Sea and history in Saint Malo’ by Skyfall Iconics

The iconic postcard view of Saint-Malo opens up from the end of the stone pier: the mighty granite walls of the historic city fortress tower above the Atlantic, closely surrounded by the pointed roofs and towers of the old town. The skyline looks like a time capsule - every detail tells of sailors, corsairs and the eventful history of the Breton coast. At low tide, the sea retreats to reveal the wide sandy beach, which contrasts the massive walls with a calm expanse. The light - golden, grey or bright blue, depending on the time of day - lends the scene a quiet grandeur. Saint-Malo appears both unshakeable and poetic.
