A screaming seagull and the silver-grey sea. The Peñón de Ifach Nature Park in Calpe is the habitat of numerous seagulls and an excellent vantage point on the Mediterranean coast. In addition, the smallest nature reserve on the Spanish mainland is a wonderful destination for hiking and climbing.
On the ridge of the Peñón de Ifach mountain, I like to pull out my camera to capture a bird's eye view of the coastal landscape. I especially like to observe the seagulls, their movements and their behaviour when resting on the rocks. For this reason, the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park is one of my favourite destinations on the northern Costa Blanca. In my opinion, the ambience on the coast is very beautiful even when the sky is cloudy, because the sea water appears in subtle shades of grey.
My photographic work is inspired by long walks in the south-east of Spain, where I am inspired by the view of the wide sea and the cliffs. Every time I spend time in the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park (Penyal d'Ifac) and let my gaze wander into the distance, the clocks seem to tick a little slower.
