On a warm summer evening, while walking through the beautiful countryside of Drenthe, I came face to face with a beautiful Scottish Highlander. This rugged animal, with its imposing horns and calm appearance, immediately caught my attention. Fortunately, the animal gave me the opportunity to take a photo of this encounter.
The Scottish Highlander is known for its ruggedness and adaptability. These traits have made them popular outside Scotland as well. In the Netherlands, they are often used as grazers in nature reserves, where they help preserve and restore biodiversity.
