The Scottish Highlander, also called Highland Cow, is a mostly reddish-brown breed of cattle that originates from Scotland. They have long hair and long horns.
This cattle breed is suitable to be used as a large grazer in nature reserves all year round. They need little care and are rarely aggressive. The animals are often seen in nature and recreation areas in the Netherlands, such as here in the Twiske.
