This photograph with its amazing waves in the sand ending in a funnel that points to the sea was made at the same time as Swirl, which is also available as a print in my shop. The difference between the two is quite astonishing though. Swirl was taken with a longer shutter speed with a telephoto lens and this image was created with a wide angle lens at a short shutter speed. This emphasizes the play of light on the ripples and waves in the sand that were formed after a heavy storm. It is quite amazing what wind and rain can do to a beach, it changes its entire appearance and creates pools in all shapes and sizes and with all kinds of structures and reflections. I can never get enough of photographing these amazing phenomenons
