About the artwork

The doors of the Sint Nicolaasbasiliek in IJsselstein.

The Sint-Nicolaasbasiliek is a Roman Catholic basilica in IJsselstein. This three-aisled hall church was built between 1885 and 1887 in neo-Gothic style to a design by Alfred Tepe. By the hand of sculptor Friedrich Wilhelm Mengelberg is the colourful high altar (1893); the left side altar (1889); the triumphal cross (1889) and the stations of the cross (1888).

The church is a place of pilgrimage because of the image of Mary, Our Lady of Eiteren Help in Need, which is located in the Mary Chapel.

On November 11, 1972, Pope Paul VI granted the church the title of Basilica minor for its significance as a place of pilgrimage,[1] Basilica minor is the highest honorary title for a church building outside the city of Rome.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
