A tjalk sails into the harbour of the Wadden island of Terschelling.
A tjalk is a traditional Dutch sailing ship with a flat bottom, ideal for shallow waters such as canals and the Wadden Sea, which we see here in the photo. Originally used for cargo transport, these sailing boats now mainly serve as sailing charters, like this one between Harlingen and Terschelling.
I love the serene, minimal composition of this drone photo. Everything is blue and the tjalk is the radiant centre of the photo.
