I made this oil painting many years ago. The original shows the year 1988! I remember the slide (yes, one of those photos that had to be right the first time) very well, in fact I must still have it somewhere. It was a hot day, somewhere in France. We were on holiday with the family, I think somewhere near the Pyrenees. The image of the partially landed boats appealed to me even then. Back home, I made this little painting of it. I lost it for a while, but recently it reappeared. I liked it again anyway.
