The stairs in the abandoned water tower are a winding maze of weathered steel and rotted wood. Each step creaks under the weight of years of neglect, and dust swirls up with every movement. The walls are covered in damp patches, and here and there water seeps through cracks in the concrete. Cobwebs hang between the steps like works of art, and the air smells musty and old.
The sound of the wind whipping through the broken windows makes the place even more ominous. It is a place steeped in forgotten stories, loneliness and the echoes's of the past, where people once climbed up to supply the city with water, but now the stairs remain unused, a silent witness to past glory.
