Leaving Bhuj to reach Than monastery, the road winds through the peaceful countryside typical of Gujarat. Here, the landscape reveals a mixture of arid lands, scattered fields and a few traditional dwellings. The road, narrow and lined with sparse vegetation, bears witness to everyday rural life, with dried cow dung on the tarmac, used locally as a natural fuel. On the horizon, a rocky hill rises up, marking the approach to the monastery, a place of calm and spirituality nestled in this remote region. Far from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, this journey offers an immersion in the authenticity of Indian rural life, where simple everyday scenes tell the story of a region steeped in tradition.
