Rubjerg Knude Fyr, a lighthouse towering majestically above the sand dunes, is one of Denmark's most extraordinary sights. Located on the rugged coast of northern Jutland, this place tells a story of struggle against nature. Originally built in 1900, the lighthouse was slowly but surely threatened by the encroaching sea and sand drift. In an impressive rescue operation in 2019, the structure was moved 70 metres inland, a sign of the determination to preserve this heritage.
On a sunny day, the golden dunes shine in contrast with the clear blue sky, a perfect backdrop for a serene walk or a moment of reflection. The desolation of the tower, combined with the breathtaking surroundings, makes it a photographer's dream.
These photos're captured with the Sony A7III and a 24-70mm lens, which beautifully capture the details of the sand, the play of light and the iconic structure of the lighthouse. Rubjerg Knude Fyr is not only an architectural masterpiece, but also a reminder of the constant changes of the landscape and the power of nature.
