Royal Palace in the capital Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The palace complex consists of nine special buildings. Architecturally interesting. The roofs are particularly striking; they are gilded and graceful and shine in the sunlight.
It's a wonderful example of Khmer architecture.
The palace was built in 1866 by order of the Cambodian king Norodom and is still used by the royal family.
Here you see the back of the throne room with a 59 meter high tower and a roof decorated with gold colored tiles. The hall is used for official occasions.
