Zeeland's coast is characterised by breakwaters that prevent the water from digging up too much sand from the dunes and beach. For anglers, these are hotspots as small fish and crustaceans hide between the piles when the water rises, due to the current. Precisely these small fish and crustaceans are the bait for larger fish so that at high tide, most fish swim around the rows of poles.
I personally always find it a soothing image, so I have now made a series in both colour and black-and-white, which can be viewed and ordered in this webshop.
