The algae-covered rocks on the beach of Katwijk aan Zee. They are placed here to ensure that the sand is not taken into the sea when the excess fresh water from the Rhine enters the North Sea. Photo was taken during sunset and has a dreamy effect due to the use of a lens from 1966. It's like a volcanic landscape
