From Sugar Mountain, you have a great view of the city of Rio de Janeiro and also Cristo Redentor. The statue of Jesus, a modern wonder of the world, which features prominently in the city's image. As the sun set, it became increasingly cloudy and the question was whether it would be worth going up Sugar Mountain that day. An hour and a half before sunset, the sun came through the clouds and shone on the mountains with a magical effect. The result was a crazy sunset where the clouds and sunlight alternated. But where above all, the Cristo Redentor as a landmark catches the eye in this image. As far as I am concerned, it could not have been better. Despite the clouds eventually becoming decisive, the play of light was insanely beautiful.
