This photo was taken at the Friedrichstrasse Berlin station where train, metro, bus, cars, cyclists and pedestrians skim past each other.
It was taken with a long shutter speed and you look "through" the tram to the station where you can still clearly read the letters Bahnhof Friedrichstrasse, including those on the platform. It was a bit of a challenge to get everything right when taking this photo. The right height, the right moment of the tram, the lighting and so on to get the right atmosphere of this traffic junction in the picture. The train at the station, the tram, cars cyclists and pedestrians, they are all there, together in one photo.
Some of the photos I took in Berlin show the stationary and the moving city together. Buildings, the Berlin Wall, streets, Checkpoint Charlie and and other landmarks in this city, immobile in the cityscape. With long shutter speeds, time shots, the people passing by, as well as the trams, trains, buses and cars, made part of the image about the city of Berlin.
Specialized in landscapes and nature, especially in the Netherlands. The Veluwe forests and the waterfront are common subjects, sometimes with the contrast of nature and human traces.
