Visions from a future past.

A blue moon hangs lazily overhead to it's side as colossal spaceships gently come and go moving peoples and cargo to and fro.
This is the kind of human outpost where the balance between man and nature was not found by regressing into primitivism and subsistence survival but rather via employing the urge towards progress towards true harmony.
Like all my work this piece is inspired by the commercial art of the 1970s and 1980s, specifically the science fiction and fantasy art of my youth as found on book covers/video game box art/comics/advertisements/movie posters/vhs sleeves etc. of those eras.
I hope to convey the sense of wonder and outlandishness that this "genre" imparted and continues to impart in me, a future that while sometimes a little bit on the spooky side was at least thrilling and, ultimately, optimistic about humanities endeavors and adventures yet to come.
