Repetitive Paris quadrifolia. Picture was taken in South Limburg. The silhouette of the Paris quadrifolia in the background is just beautiful. In the older deciduous forests with moist soil you will find this typical forest plant. The plant usually has four leaves thatmake a star on one stalk. On this central stalk stand one flower with prominent stamens and an ovary that grows into a blue-black poisonous berry. It is one of the most early bloomers in the forest and quite rare.
