About ‘Relaxing in the Veluwe’ by Thuur Kurvers

Amidst the dry heather of the Veluwe, a Scottish Highland cow lies stretched out at rest. Its thick, reddish-brown coat glows in the sunlight, whilst its imposing horns rest quietly on the ground. It is a rare moment of complete surrender and tranquillity for an animal that normally looks so tough and powerful.

What makes this work so special is the vulnerability it exudes. This large, rugged animal lets itself go completely, safe amongst the heather. The warm brown and orange tones of its coat blend seamlessly with the dry heathland surrounding it, as if the animal belongs there entirely.
In the background, pine trees are softly out of focus, completing the typical atmosphere of the Veluwe. There is a deep sense of tranquillity in this image. No drama, no action. Just an animal finding a moment of complete peace in one of the Netherlands’ most beautiful nature reserves.

This piece fits beautifully into a warm, natural living environment. The rich brown and orange tones lend warmth and character to any space, and the subject appeals to both nature lovers and those with a softer side.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
