What if you're sure it's going to be a beautiful evening? I had put my camera in the car so I could capture the sunset. The intense colours that evening came from the sand of the Sahara Desert which was present in the sky. In the distance, I saw a stream that I wanted to photograph. The many branches an the trees meant I had to keep some distance with the water. Fortunately, the reflection of the sky in the water was clearly visible. This created a photo full of colour. I took the photo in the Reest valley near Meppel.
My camera has gradually become part of my body. My own experience as a widow led me to specialise in creating tangible memories in the last phase of life and during funerals, also known as farewell photography.
