The silence and calm around us is almost hypnotic. Sometimes a bird can be heard. Nothing else.
One cloud hangs over the eastern tip of Scheirmonnikoog. It hangs motionless above the dune and beach.

For a moment, nothing moves.
No man, no animal, There is only that still hanging cloud in the transparent sky and the reflection.
Very slowly we sail on. We seem to be going faster than the cloud. And the more we go west, the more the mirrored cloud disappears.
In the end only the silence and the vastness of the Wadden Sea remain.
