The Coast Redwoods are the tallest trees in the world and related to the Sequoia. It is the largest and fastest-growing tree in the world: it can grow 122 metres tall and have a girth of more than 7 metres. The Northern California coast is the only place in the world where conditions are just right for Coast Redwood. The temperature there is very moderate and there is a year-round supply of moisture from the ocean.
