About the artwork

A digital painting of a raven sitting on a branch with green leaves. The background is multiple shades of blue with a cloud texture. You can see the bird from the side and it is looking to the right. You can see its profile. The raven is realistically drawn yet cartoon-like, due to the smooth "chalk" strokes on its back to represent the feathers. Very slightly, you can see the texture of real feathers on his russet. these feathers were derived from a real photo that was scanned in and then a brush was made from it in the Pro create programme, a drawing programme on the tablet.
Ravens not only know who their friends and rivals are, but they also consider alliances between other ravens. If two ravens make friends, a third may strike out. Ravens are said to display a form of comforting behaviour: if they see a family member defeated in a fight, they comfort them by seeking physical contact or cleaning their feathers. This presumably allows them to comfort themselves. A defeated raven thus experiences less stress, but remains at increased risk of attacking the relative.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
