Water plateaus at the Kuang Si waterfall, Laos.
The Kuang Si waterfall with its many plateaus is a well-known tourist attraction in Laos. It's about 30 kilometres below Luang Prabang.
The waterfall is made of tuff. This is due to the fact that calcareous water from the river constantly leaves new layers of lime on organic material (moss, twigs, leaves). Over the centuries, limestone barriers can be created, sometimes tens of metres high. Covered areas, caves and caves can be created. The Kuang si waterfall is one of the largest tuff waterfalls in Southeast Asia.
According to many, the waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. This is mainly due to the striking blue water full of minerals. The waterfall consists of several plateaus, each of which is slightly different. You can swim in some areas.
