After a few hundred years of terraforming, Mars has changed beyond recognition. The former Red Planet now has all the colors of the rainbow.
We see a living planet, with in the center of the image Acidalia and Chryse Planitia, now part of the Northern Ocean. Around it a large variety of landscapes: deciduous forest, coniferous forest, grassland, tundra.
On the bottom left the spectacular beauty of Valles Marineris National Park is just visible, slightly above it no less beautiful Kasei Vallis.
In the deserts of the Southern Highland one can still see the magnificent desolation of Mars as it was before the terraforming.
The lights on the night side show that the planet is now a home to millions of people.
