RAF De Havilland DH-89A Dragon Rapide Registration: G-AIYR, HG 691 is the old military registration. The aircraft features the Royal Air Force colour scheme. The De Havilland DH-89A Dragon Rapide is an English twin-engine double-decker produced by aircraft manufacturer De Havilland. The commercial aircraft could carry 6-8 passengers. Constructed entirely of wood, the Dragon Rapide proved in practice to be a solid and economical aircraft. Its first flight was on 17 April 1934, and this picture was taken on 9 July 2016 at the Flying Legends Airshow at Duxford Airfield.
