ThyssenKrupp Quartier, an area on which the company's administrative buildings, previously spread over various locations, have been brought together. It was designed by a consortium of Cologne-based architects JSWD and Paris-based architects Chaix and Morel et Associés. They created an orthogonally structured campus, generously laid out around a water square, which is enlivened by small squares. The relationship between buildings and open spaces appears balanced; opportunities for retreat and communication are provided by the many squares and paths between the buildings.
