About ‘Project Noonlight – Buttercups’ by Olga Don Photography

In this piece from the Noonlight series, you see a field of buttercups bathed in warm, gentle sunlight. The small yellow flowers appear as points of light scattered across the image, whilst the background dissolves into a soft haze of green, gold and terracotta.

The slender stems, subtle shadows and the glistening petals lend the work an almost painterly softness. Only when you look for longer do the fine details become apparent: a half-hidden flower, a patch of light gliding over a stem, or the golden edges in the backlight.

The inspiration for this work came during a quiet summer afternoon when the landscape seemed to glow with warmth for a moment.

I didn’t just want to photograph the flowers, but above all to capture the feeling of lightness, tranquillity and the almost nostalgic character of a summer field.

The atmosphere is warm, airy and tranquil. For me, this image is about simplicity: the beauty of something small that, together, forms an overwhelming whole. It evokes memories of long summer days, freedom and the tranquillity of being outdoors.

By working with natural backlighting and a shallow depth of field, a soft, dreamy blur emerges between light and form. In an interior, this work brings both warmth and freshness, with a natural look that offers tranquillity without becoming static.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
