Last summer I read a story about an osprey in the Bemmelse Waard. Since that location is not too far away from me, I decided to give this magnificent bird a try. At dusk I was already present at the location, completely unknown to me. So first I went for a walk along the watery area, what I immediately noticed were the kingfishers that came flashing by in fairly frequent moments, always nice to see of course, but that's not what I came for. Around 10:30 a.m. I saw an osprey fly by for the first time, eventually settling in a row of trees, unfortunately too far for a decent photo. Eventually it flew far past me to a corner of the water and started flying around in circles. It was now clear to me where to sit, only first I had to find out if that spot was reachable. After a detour I managed to reach the spot and there, after a few hours of waiting, the bird passed by twice and after comparing photos'it turned out to be a completely different specimen twice. 'In the evening towards dusk I went home satisfied. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, A PRAYING OSPREY BEAUTIFULLY CAPTURED!!!
