There are many wonderful motifs in Prague's Old Town.
The Charles Bridge is definitely one of them. After dark, shortly after sunset during the so-called Blue Hour, the view is particularly attractive. The lighting and the reflection on the gently flowing waters of the Vltava create a magical ensemble. Simply beautiful!
Charles Bridge (Karlův most in Czech) is a bridge built over the Vltava in the 14th century. It connects Prague's Old Town on the right bank with the Lesser Town on the left. It is the oldest preserved bridge over the Vltava and one of the oldest stone bridges in Europe. The bridge was given its current name after Emperor Charles IV in 1870 and is considered a symbol of the city.
Prague is best known for its beautiful Old Town (Staré město). It lies on the right bank of the Vltava River. Here you will find historic buildings, colourful roofs and diverse architecture from different eras. Most of the centuries-old bridges, castles, towers and churches are still perfectly preserved. The Old Town, including Charles Bridge, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
