About the artwork

This wild dangerous-looking wolf was in reality very sweet and definitely not wild. That is why I was able to photograph her very well and took such beautiful pictures of her. Her black colour makes her look much more dangerous than her grey and white counterparts, and I emphasised that by making the photo dark and unsaturated so that the viewer gets an unsafe feeling and is happy not to be in this dark forest where there are wolves.

Black wolves fascinate artists and photographers because of their unmistakable look. With their dark fur and sharp, golden eyes, they seem to come straight out of a mythical tale. This gives them an almost magical quality that perfectly matches the visual and emotional power of art.

In photography, black wolves provide a stunning contrast. Their silhouette is powerful, elegant and mysterious, giving any shot a dramatic and compelling effect. Artists often turn to black wolves to explore themes of independence, mysticism and untamed nature.

The fact that black wolves are rare enhances their appeal. They embody a unique kind of beauty that is raw and elusive. As a result, they strike a chord with people, not only visually, but also emotionally. They are a symbol of the wild, the free and the mysterious, which makes them enduringly popular in creative expressions.
