The Porsche 911 Targa 4S is a thrilling update to Porsche’s iconic Targa sports car, blending classic style, open-top freedom, and modern performance. For the 2026 model year, Porsche has reintroduced the all-wheel-drive 4S variant for the Targa body, slotting it between the standard Carrera and the more powerful GTS models in the 911 lineup. At its heart is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine tuned to around 473 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, an increase over the previous generation. Power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission with no manual option. Porsche Traction Management (PTM) ensures rear-biased AWD performance with excellent grip in varied conditions. The Targa’s signature automated roof mechanism opens and closes in about 19 seconds, delivering an open-air experience while retaining the model’s distinctive roll bar and wraparound rear glass—an evolution of the design pioneered 60 years ago.Standard features include upgraded brakes from GTS models, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, a sport exhaust system, 20/21-inch staggered wheels, and rear-axle steering. Inside, it boasts extended leather, an all-digital instrument cluster, Matrix LED headlights, and wireless smartphone charging, marrying luxury with performance.
