Sometimes a work comes along that completely takes you on an adventure as an artist. That is exactly what happened to me with this work.
The inspiration came from a portrait I saw on the internet. It was a soft and sweet portrait of a girl combined with some abstract shapes. The work that really appealed to me turned out to be made by artificial intelligence.
I saw this as a challenge to create the work in my own style. However, a soft and sweet portrait soon became a completely different kind of work in which I combined the chequered motif of the top with a background painted with a block brush. A delicate poppy that dies as soon as it is plucked, its young beauty captured in a moment. I hope this work will also inspire and enchant viewers, reminding them of the beauty and fragility of life. Poppy is a work I cherish and have worked on with great love, and I am happy to share it with others.
