During one of my walks around Wagenwerkplaats, my eye was once again drawn to the rhythmic line of the pointed roofs, an image that for me symbolises this unique place in Amersfoort. As a photographer, it fascinates me how these roofs, with their sleek shapes and industrial look, give so much character to the site. I deliberately chose a vantage point that emphasised the repetition and made the play of light and shadow on the roof surfaces clearly visible. It is precisely this combination of simplicity and strength that continues to inspire me. Here, among brick, steel and history, photographing feels like playing with structure and perspective. The Wagenwerkplaats shows me again and again how beauty lies in detail, repetition and material. This photo is my attempt to capture that feeling: the tranquillity, the rhythm, and the timelessness of a place with a soul.
