The Zakkendragerssteeg in Utrecht in a snowy winter night in January 2013. I wanted to photograph the snow in the dead of night before people banned themselves from it. Eventually I ended up in the city centre of Utrecht. The Zakkendragerssteeg is an alley between Vredenburg and the Oudegracht. There is a lot of catering and is a fairly busy passage during the day. The pink light in the snow is a hiking marker for Trajectum Lumen and always lights up at night. In the alley today there are ten national monuments in the form of centuries-old houses with stables and storerooms.
