Gelderseplein (Gelderland Square) is a new square, completed in 2014, next to the Old Harbour in the center of Rotterdam. After the construction of the railway tunnel under the river Nieuwe Maas this site lay vacant for many years due to with the complexity of building above the tunnel.
Prominent at the top of the image we see the White House from 1898, once the tallest skyscraper in Europe. The Wijnhaven houses on its right side were stored for a decade during the construction of the tunnel and then rebuilt. On the right, partially hidden behind the tree, are more recent buildings such as the CitizenM hotel and the Stedin office. On the bottom left of the image is the Old Harbour with its historic vessels, and behind that the architecture of Piet Blom from the eighties: the cube houses and "Monkey Rock".
This bolpanorama was composed of 24 photos and edited in Photoshop to give it a picturesque appearance.
