In this image, you see one pink tulip rising just above the rest of the tulip field, caught in the soft light of a Hoeksche Waard sunset. The red glow of the evening light highlights the fine details of the petal, while the background slowly fades into warm, dreamy tones. This close-up, shot with a macro lens, captures the tulip in full focus, surrounded by a sea of colour, yet alone - a powerful contrast that immediately grabs your attention.
About the location
This photo was taken in the Hoeksche Waard, a region known for its vast fields and rustic landscape. In spring, the fields here transform into colourful carpets full of tulips, a place where, as a photographer, you will be endlessly inspired.
What makes this moment special for me is the solitude of that one tulip. As if it briefly takes the lead role in a field full of its peers. The light was perfect, the timing was right - these are the moments I do it for.
Where would you prefer to see this work? Maybe in a place where you can just dream away at the last light of the day.
