Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

About ‘Pink Granite Coast: Waiting for the right moment’ by SR Blaauw

Amidst the weathered granite cliffs of Brittany stands a small tripod pointed towards the sea, as if waiting for the perfect moment. The calm ocean has been transformed into a silky-smooth surface by a long exposure, whilst above the horizon the sky slowly shifts from soft pink to lavender and blue. In the distance, a few islands lie as dark silhouettes in the evening light, lending the landscape a sense of space and tranquillity. This image was captured during one of those special moments when nature and photography come together. As the sun disappeared behind the horizon, the light changed by the minute. The tripod in the foreground subtly tells the story of the photographer who stood here patiently waiting for precisely this combination of colour, light and stillness. It is precisely this small detail that makes the image personal and recognisable to anyone who enjoys seeking out special moments in nature.

The soft colours and tranquil composition bring a sense of relaxation to an interior. At the same time, the work invites you to look longer and continually discover new details.
