About the artwork

With "Piece of Coral", I want to draw attention to the increasing pollution and destruction of marine life. The protection and conservation of coral reefs is of great importance to preserve the unique biodiversity and important ecological services of these fascinating ecosystems. Coral reefs are increasingly under threat. Climate change, ocean acidification, overfishing, pollution and improper tourism practices are just some of the factors threatening their health and survival. ne of the greatest threats to corals is coral bleaching. High water temperatures or other stressors can cause corals to shed their symbiotic algae and lose their vibrant colours. If conditions are not improved, they can die. Coral reefs provide food for millions of people worldwide. They are an important part of the fishing industry and provide protein and nutrients for communities along the coast. Coral reefs grow very slowly. It can take decades or even centuries for a reef to fully develop. Therefore, the protection and conservation of existing reefs is of great importance. Although coral reefs are threatened, they also show amazing recovery abilities. Under suitable conditions, damaged reefs can regenerate and restore their functions.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
