To-ji is known for its imposing wooden five-tiered pagoda tower, which is the tallest of its kind in Japan at around 54 meters high. The view of the temple is particularly impressive when the surrounding area is bathed in the warm light of dusk. The top of the pagoda is reflected in the calm waters of Umekoji Koizumi Park, which surround the temple.
