The Wagenwerkplaats in Amersfoort is a place that inspires me as a photographer time and again. Its industrial character, weathered materials and the play of light and shadow offer endless opportunities to experiment. On this day, I wandered around the site without a plan, looking for how the sunlight worked its way past the steel, the windows and the old sheds. Each corner has its own atmosphere, its own story. What appeals to me here is the contrast between the robust past and the creative energy of today. The old work sheds, tracks of rails and raw structures tell a history, but at the same time offer space for something new. For me, photographing at Wagenwerkplaats is not just an assignment, it feels every time like a visual voyage of discovery through a place that continues to surprise.
